Civilian AR-15 Armorers Course

The Valiant AR-15 Armorers Course is open to military, law enforcement, and civilians. It iis one of the top courses in the country.  Gio Gentilini is the instructor for this course and brings a unique set of skills and experience to the classroom. This is an in-depth course on how to assemble an AR-15 rifle from scratch. You will gain an understanding of all of the tools and gauges necessary to assemble a rifle, as well as the difference in quality between hobby tools and production tools.

On day two you will have a chance to use the tools Gio uses for production in manufacturing. In this course you will be able to draw from his experience through expert instruction as you learn how to build an AR-15.

Class sizes are intentionally kept small for a better student learning expeience. Each student is assigned their own individual rifle and tool kit to use for the class. We are serious about the quality of your experience and you will not find a more comprehensive course than the Valiant AR-15 armorer’s course!

About your instructor:

Gio Gentilini is the instructor for the course and has extensive experience not only with AR-15 rifles but many other platforms as well. Gio has been a general gunsmith since 2008. He has worked with AR-15 rifles in a production environment for over a decade and has built over 2000 of them.  He is the Master Gunsmith at Next Generation Arms Rifle Company and developed the AR-15 armorer’s course for Center Target Sports indoor shooting range in Post Falls, Idaho.

Course Description:

The Valiant AR-15 Armorers Course has been designed to be one of the most in-depth and unique courses in the country.  Gio uses a number of approaches to teaching in order to appeal to the various learning types. You will have physical demonstrations, an easy-to-follow powerpoint presentation, a detailed student resource packet, lots of hands-on build experience, and videos throughout the course to help enrich your knowledge. A rifle kit and complete set of tools are provided for you to use in class. You will also have access to production quality tooling and see what the difference is compared to a home tool kit intended for the occasional build.

On day one you will gain a full understanding of every part of the rifle system and every tool used to build it.  You will learn build theory as you begin to see how all the parts come together to make a working rifle. On day two you will build on what you learned from day one and go much more in depth on the barrel and trigger systems. You will have the chance to try out different trigger systems and learn what a two-stage trigger feels like compared to a single-stage trigger. No other course in the country offers this. There is also a surprise skill building exercise that will test your parts knowledge to its limits.

You will also be taught problem-solving and diagnostics in the troubleshooting module where you learn what can go wrong with the AR-15 system and try to figure out how to fix those problems. You will walk away from this course with a full understanding of how to build an AR-15 rifle and make it work right. You will receive a detailed resource packet, and a armorer’s course completion certificate. If you want to take your armorer skills to the next level then this course if for you!
